Gratituesday Post - Emily Blessinger

If you're reading this email in the comfort of your own home or 6 feet away from your neighbor, go ahead and give yourself a sanitized high-five!

Covid BLESSing

Emily Blessinger is a 2nd-grade teacher at Cowern Elementary in North St.Paul. We met our freshmen year of college and ever since I've known her, she's been loving the shiz out of other people. Today, a lot of her energy is focused on the success of her little students and their families. I asked Emily a few questions about her time distance teaching. The first one being about her biggest challenge:

“The biggest challenge is how acutely this crisis has highlighted the inequities that our families face.”

^mmmm amen sista. The second one about her biggest reward:

"I've been really moved by how this has brought the education community together and it’s emphasized what an extraordinary group of people we are privileged to share this career with."

Emily, thank you for caring for our nation's future! When I think of the word "people" I don't often think of "kids", but you are well-liked because you are liking others well!

Just like Emily, if you know anyone who is doing their part during these COVID times, please email me, so we can get them a shirt for free and highlight them on our next post!

To the PLPWLP-ers who are being effectively essential...THANK YOU! There are so many industries beyond our frontline service and healthcare teams that go unnoticed, so please take a moment and email those who are doing their special part.

Keep waving at strangers.
